About Ross “Boss” Palmer
Some of the true things Boss has done in his life are stranger than his parody. Here are a few lifetime highlights:
Boss got his start performing improv in his high school’s “Advanced Acting” program, both writing and performing comedy routinely for 1,000+ audiences.
He became the resident DJ of his college campus, playing weekly parties and headlining the largest events. He was also a 4-year member of the college improv group TWIG, with packed monthly comedy shows.
He co-wrote and co-produced a song that was released on an album by the “Japanese Madonna”.
He moved to The Netherlands after graduating, where he did a nation-wide club tour with a partner – two half-naked dudes wearing pink and purple cat heads. They performed for more than 2,000 people at a time at numerous shows.
No one knew if they were serious or joking…
They had an utterly ridiculous song on Dutch national radio that Ross sang called “Sex Grenade”, even though he can’t sing. The song was voted “good” by 77% of call-in voters, even though assuredly, it was not.
During this time, Ross was senior A&R and admin of one of the world’s largest dance music blogs, growing one SoundCloud account into millions of followers around the world.
He got a job for Armin van Buuren’s record label in Marketing, Writing, and Content Creation.
He moved to Los Angeles because moving internationally once for 8 years was too easy.
He created a daily DJ show on a Chinese streaming platform, gaining 40,000 Chinese followers. This resulted in him doing a tour of China where he performed in numerous clubs and for audiences of 2,000 or more. He also co-produced and mixed a song for one of the largest pop groups in China.
As a marketer, he’s built a current client’s business from ~2 million to over $25 million in a few short years.
He was an extra in one frame of the Ariana Grande video “Into You”.
He starred in a never-aired TV Pilot with Tori Spelling.
His digital marketing agency Aloa Marketing helps businesses go from “a few million in revenue to many more millions”.
Lastly (for now), he’s taught 10,000 students on Udemy as an instructor.
